In-person

I nearly wrote this months ago, sitting on a coach travelling back from the advanced engineering expo in Birmingham. I met a man, we are going to call him John Smith. John works for a real, very prestigious company. They make parts for all types. Parts for engines, jets and all manner of interesting parts that make up today's industrial supply chain. (I will get back to John in a later blog post).

Often I don't get to look inside putting edge technology. Talk with the people that make these items. In-person, at trade shows and shows it is easy to find experts in a space and have an honest conversation with them.

What seems lost in a zoom call is the hustle and bustle you feel at these events, in the meetings subsequently and the drinks at the end of the day.

Something I found nice, about the post lockdown tradeshows is that people have displayed an excellent ability to bounce back.

I will go into more detail to why this has led me to keep pushing on my business start-up mission for another 6 months.
